This main bearing will take twice the load of the original
loose filled needle roller bearing. There is more surface area
to the bearing and more contact.
These bearings are safe up to a running speed of 12000 rpm
which is far greater than the running speed of our Greeves
Oulton.
We will be using a larger piston than standard to give us
the increased capacity which inturn will increase load on the
crankshaft assembly.
With these new main bearings fitted we are confident that
the crankshaft assembly is better supported than the original
manufacturers system and is well suited to carry the extra
load of the larger piston.
